James W. Donaghy – President & CEO

James W. Donaghy has over thirty years experience in investing. Mr. Donaghy serves as the President and is on the Board of Holding Capital Group’s principal investment entities. He joined Holding Capital Group in 1978. Prior to that he served on the audit and tax staffs of Arthur Andersen & Co. and subsequently as a controller in a privately held company. Between 1968 and 1972 he served in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Donaghy holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska and an MBA from Pace University.   

Steven Leischner – Vice President & CFO

Steven Leischner has been a principal of Holding Capital Group (HCG) since 1983.  He is currently the CFO of various HCG related entities and oversees HCG’s finance, accounting, administration and recruiting.  He is an officer and board member of several of HCG’s related service, investment, and portfolio companies and is active in managing HCG’s private equity and money management businesses.  From 1980 through 1983, he was a senior accountant at a national accounting firm specializing in loss and value accounting.  Mr. Leischner received his BS (cum laude) in Accounting and Business Administration from Wagner College and achieved his CPA certification in 1982.

Stephen K. Lew – Fund Services

Stephen K. Lew joined Holding Capital Group in 2007. He has served as a member of the investment committee for our internal fund of funds and as an investment consultant for HCAM. He was previously a Management Associate at a New York utility company. Mr. Lew received a B.S. in Finance and International Business from The Stern School of Business at New York University.
